10 Heartfelt Sentiments for National Grammar Day.
Apparently, March 4th was National Grammar Day! (Wouldn’t it be ironic if this was eventually declared a holiday where schools are closed?) Anyway, this article, written by “Lady Vowell Smith” from “The Snail”, is an exceedingly amusing tribute to this grand holiday.
In a world where political correctness exceeds grammatical correctness, this article is a refreshing reminder of one of the most important things in life: grammar. Grammar is, when looked at philosophically, how we regulate our thoughts into a more precise form. Language itself is the primary conduit, but grammar and phrasing is how we manipulate this into all manner of new, or hidden, meanings.
Happy Grammar Day! (Belated)
I appreciated your repost which honors National Grammer Day.
