According to Jung psychology, every person has a “shadow” as part of their psyche. Jung psychology describes many personas that form beneath the individuals unconscious (note: subconscious and unconscious, while similar, cannot be used interchangeably). The persona that is the shadow is, essentially, the opposite of the individual’s manifested personality, which, according to Jung, can be a source of strife if this inner conflict is not acknowledged.
So, I hereby acknowledge that my shadow is outspoken, arrogant, posturing, and wildly liberal. My shadow is Joe Biden.
